I like the thought of the moon "watching" us--I could read this as the moon's eyes turning dark or the moon's eyes turning to watch the ocean. Both are lovely.
Thank you for your comment. I suppose you could interpret it as anything at all. If you believed the moon as actually a pineapple watching a bowl of orange juice, who am I to tell you you're wrong? Have a lovely night, Zachary
Good morning, Meghan. I'm not a huge fan of haikus, because I feel I don't have the time to properly get a meaning across. Haikus are for simple descriptions, and although they can be divine, they can not be particularly revolutionary. Have a lovely night, Zachary
I really enjoyed this poem. Every summer I get to go out West and visit family that lives in California. We will probably go to the beach every day and for about the whole day. This poem reminded me of when I went to the beach at night during low tide. It was such a neat experience that I really liked and want to do again. This poem also really relaxed me and made me feel at home- something that you were able to translate into words. You have a great talent with words and writing Zach! You can do anything!

Hey, Zachary! I think this is beautiful in the simplicity of the picture you painted. It sounds like a peaceful night on the ocean.

DeleteYou're right! I can do anything. Well, as long as it's on paper.
Have a lovely day.
